Daryl Unix R. Samantila topped the 12-under Category in the 2nd leg of the Bulacan Youth Chess Federation Grand Prix Format Chess Tournament. All category champion and runner-up winners will play in the grand finals which will be held in June 2010.

Daryl consistently played on the top Board and scored a perfect 6.0. He won against some Palarong Pambasa bets of Bulacan.

im not sure who the palaro bets of bulacan division you are referring to that you were able to beat in this tournament. because in recent years, the palaro elem bets from bulacan were:
yanzon, mervince - palaro 2007
de jesus, normel palaro 2007
casiano, paul - palaro 2008, 2009 (2009 clraa gold)
mendoza, mytzka - palaro 2010
these are the big guns in bulacan elem chess
maybe you were misinformed of the profile of the competition
thanks for the info, maybe you are correct coz im not so familiar with whose big guns in bulacan elem chess except for Pangilinan who was may teammate in Jakarta, Indonesia. wala biro, ikaw lang big ticket name sa list :)
so worried lang ako na you were misinformed on the credentials of your opponents. na palaro bets sila ng bulacan.
none of your opponents even made it as a member of the bulacan team in clraa in recent years. more so be a palaro bet for region 3.
pero you can check out yourself from your source if palaro bets ang some of mga opponents mo.
stephen rome has not made it to palaro. maybe this year
just so you wont be misinformed next time :)
you dont deserve to be misinformed. you have a familiar name in philippine chess and you deserve the best opposition across the board
