SUMMARY:
Played a total of three (3) National events in 2007, my first year of playing chess. A newbie at the age of 7.
Played a total of 16+ at the age of 8. Had my first ASEAN exposure When I qualfied as 2nd place in the National Age Group in the 10-under Boys Category.
My first airplane experience. My fist Asean trip at Danang, Vietnam where the 9th Asean Age Group was held. My first taste of being top kiddie player in the 8-under category including my first Art Borjal and Shell Trophy. A neophyte at the age of 8.
Played a total of 11+ events at the age of 9. Started to gain exposure in more prominent events. Champion in the 3rd Ateneo`s Leviste Cup. Director Relorcasa Age-Group Tournament and Ramon Magsaysay Rapid Chess Tournament among others. My first also to play in the province (Aklan and Pangasinan). An amateur player at the age of 9.
Played a total of 18+ tournaments at the age of 10. Had constantly managed to keep the 10-under category. 2nd time to join the Asean Age Group and stayed behind fellow Filipino teammates in gaining 3 gold medals for the team. Promising at the age 10.
To date, played a total of 15 ( and counting )tournaments at the age of 11. Started to join in Open and Non-Master events. Joined Pichay Cup, Campomanes and national Inter-cities. Just starting to gain exposure and top in the higher category of 14-Under and 16-Under category tournaments. Most prominent are the PACE-16 Under Chess Championship, Metropolitan Chess Club-14 Under Category, National Bookstore -15 Under Category. First time to be a qualifier in the Palarong NCR. 3rd time to have my Asean exposure when I was selected by to be a DepEd representative in the 4th APSSO held in Jakarta, Indonesia. At age 11, starting to gain maturity level as a player.
