THE second National Age-Group chess championship will be moved from the original schedule of Aug 28 to August 27-31 at the Victory Central Mall in Caloocan City. The Venue will not be available on the 30th of August, hence the change of schedule.A project of the National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP), headed by president/chairman Prospero Pichay Jr. , in cooperation with the Victory Central Mall, the four-day competition will be held to determine the countrys representatives to the World Youth Chess Championships to be held on Nov. 11-23 in Antalya, Turkey.
NCFP executive/events director Willie Abalos announced that the Federation will not be able to provide billeting because the dorms at the Philsports Arena (ULTRA) are currently under renovation.
